Slide Masters with Breeze Presentations

The master slide is effectively made into a separate SWF and loaded as a background. Erich from AVHQ has some quick advice on getting the most out of slide masters in your Breezo.

There can be no animations on the master slides. They should be removed from the masters and placed individually on slides as necessary. (Animations in the master slide are generally very irritating if you ask me, so no great loss. -- GB)

Breeze won't like PowerPoint presentations that use multiple slide masters. You can resolve this in one of two ways:

  1. save the backgrounds of the individual slide masters as png or tif files, and then insert them as backgrounds on a slide by slide basis. Make sure you do a “Save As” and work on a copy of the original presentation so you will have a reference.
  2. save the presentation as a series of png or tif files, making sure to use little or no compression, and then import that series into a new slide show by using the “Creat Photo Album” method or manually.
