Flash Integration with Breeze Solutions

You can only insert a SWF (compiled Flash output) - you cannot insert an FLV (Flash Video) or FLA (Flash Source Code).

You can import video files (AVI, DV, etc.) into Flash MX or Sorenson Squeeze to generate a SWF with video.
Inserted Flash content will play at 30fps, regardless of any fps setting you have used to create the content.
"loadMovie" is not supported for all inserted Flash content.

If you want submovies, you can:

1. Include them in the main SWF (easiest)
   
2. Put in an absolute URL reference to content on a webserver (Flash 4&5).
   
3. Put in an absolute URL reference, and change the allowDomain (see technote http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/action_scripts/local_connection_objects/local_connection_object09.html) (Flash 6).
   
4. Put in a relative reference and manually copy any submovies that are loaded with "loadMovie" to the directory with the resulting Flash content from Breeze. This only works if you download the content and host it on another webserver. These directories cannot usually be accessed on the integrated Breeze webserver.
   

Unfortunately there isn't any way to control the Flash content playback from the Breeze host movie. The only thing that you could do is put playback controls into the imported Flash movie itself. Use the Breeze Audio Editor to set the timing or to insert "Wait For User" command at the end of each slide with Flash content. This will allow time for the user to interact with the Flash content, but it will also force the user to manually advance each slide.

Also, the audio that is created within Breeze can be edited with the Edit Audio, but it is totally independent from audio in the imported Flash content you may have on the same slide. Assume that they don't know anything about each other, and will probably overlap.

To have control of multiple Flash movies on a single slide, I would suggest that you combine them all into a single movie, and provide playback controls within that movie. Otherwise, Breeze will load all the movies independently and let them play autonomously - probably with the wrong results.

Flash content will appear in front of the notes in the Breeze player. If you want to prevent this, position any Flash content above the area where the notes appear in the Breeze player.

To my knowledge inserted movies that use a netConnection to connect with the Flash Communication Server, or Flash Remoting will work.
